At Prologis, we know that delivering the critical infrastructure that drives local economic growth is about so much more than simply delivering buildings. It’s about understanding and responding to local need and delivering a social legacy for the lifetime of the development. It’s also about creating a sense of place which offers a great place to work and space for local communities to enjoy, whilst protecting and enhancing biodiversity. That’s why People, Placemaking, Proximity and the Planet are central to our vision when creating life science communities and inform everything we do.
People
We know that improving outcomes for people sits at the very heart of life sciences: that’s why we work hard to create spaces that also put the needs of people first. Our life science facilities provide spaces that both campus employees and the local community can enjoy, whilst supporting the need for increased local infrastructure, jobs, sustainable transport and amenities.
Place
We work hard to create amazing spaces that reduce environmental impact and foster innovation and social interaction and we work hard to prioritise thoughtful, community-focused design that benefits both campus employees and the local community. Working closely with local partners, we ensure our placemaking activity responds to local need.
Proximity
We want our buildings to leave a lasting social legacy through the delivery of life science spaces and campuses that improve the lives of people both globally and locally. Our aim is to build ‘connected’ communities that deliver positive, ongoing social, economic, and environmental outcomes, bringing good quality local jobs, at all levels and delivering much needed tax revenue for local councils.
Planet
We put sustainability and innovation at the heart of our business because it’s the right thing to do for our business, our planet, our customers and our communities. As the first global property company to be awarded the Terra Carta Seal by HRH King Charles for our pioneering approach to sustainability, we work hard to ensure our buildings are a force for good in the local communities in which they sit.
