Terms and Conditions for ‘Guess the Rainforest Acres’ Social Media Competition (the “Competition”)
This Competition is being run by Prologis UK Limited (company number 02872273) whose registered office address is Prologis House, Blythe Valley Park, Solihull, West Midlands, England B90 8AH (“Prologis UK”).
These terms and conditions apply to the Competition being run on Prologis UK’s LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter (the “Platforms”) accounts. By entering this Competition, an entrant is indicating his/her/their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Prologis UK’s accounts/handles for each of the Platforms is:
Prologis UK shall not be responsible for technical errors in telecommunications networks, internet access or otherwise or any third-party products or actions preventing access to or participation in the Competition. No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, delayed, misdirected, damaged or undelivered. Incomplete, inaudible, edited and/or illegible entries will be disqualified.
No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
This Competition is open to residents of the UK, aged 18 years or over only, except:
employees of agents or suppliers of Prologis UK or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the setting-up of the Competition or its administration; or
members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
employees of Prologis UK or its holding or subsidiary companies;
Entries to the Competition are made by the entrant posting a comment underneath the Competition post on any of the Platforms with the entrant’s answer to the question: How many acres of rainforest have been protected over the last 14 years by Prologis UK?”. No
other entry method will be accepted.
Only one entry per person is allowed. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified. Entries which are marked as edited after being originally posted by an entrant will be deemed to be a multiple entry and be disqualified.
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this Competition.
The prize is a £100 donation by Prologis UK to a charity registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (a “UK Charity”) nominated by the winner of the Competition (the “Prize”). There is no cash or other alternatives. The Prize is
non-transferable.
The Competition will run from (and including) Friday 15 April 2022 to 11:59pm on Thursday 21 April 2022. Entries received after 11.59pm on Thursday 21 April 2022 will not be entered in the Competition.
The winner will be selected at random on Friday 22 April 2022 (the “Draw Date”) from all of the eligible entries received. Entries eligible to win are those comments submitted on the original post for the Competition on any of the Platforms with the correct number of acres
of rainforest that Prologis UK has protected over the last 14 years. In the event that no entries are submitted with the correct number of acres of rainforest that Prologis UK has protected over the last 14 years, the entry closest to the correct total number will be an eligible entry. In
the event of multiple entries being closest to the correct total number, those closest entries will be eligible entries and the winner selected at random from them.
The winner will be notified on or within 48 hours of the Draw Date via direct message on the Platform on which they submitted their winning entry. The winner will need to respond by direct message to Prologis UK within 5 days of the Draw Date and include details of their nominated UK Charity
to receive the Prize in their response.
Once the Prize is accepted, the Prize will be donated to the winner’s nominated UK Charity within 30 days of the Draw Date. Prologis UK will provide evidence to the winner via direct message that the Prize has been donated to the winner’s nominated UK Charity.
The Prize is awarded conditionally upon acceptance and if a winner is unable to be contacted after a reasonable period or if the Prize is unclaimed within a reasonable period, the Prize shall be deemed as unclaimed or unaccepted and a supplemental winner may be drawn at Prologis UK’s
discretion.
The winner agrees by submitting their entry to being named on Prologis UK’s Platforms as the winner of the Competition and details of their entry and nominated UK Charity included.
Prologis UK reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of
Prologis UK’s control. Any changes to the Competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by Prologis UK through the Platforms and/or on Prologis UK’s website (https://prologis.co.uk/).
Prologis UK’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the Competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, LinkedIn, Instagram or Twitter. Entrants are providing their information to Prologis UK and not to any other party. See also clause 16 with regard to the announcement of the winner. The information
provided will be used in conjunction with the following Privacy Policy found at: https://prologis.co.uk/privacy-policy/.
The Competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
