Prologis Announces 152,300 Square Foot Speculative Development in West London

Press Release

All our buildings are designed with the future in mind

Paul Weston, Prologis UK

Prologis today announced that it will speculatively develop a 152,300 square foot unit at Prologis Park West London. Designed for flexibility, the building will be available as a single unit or for subdivision to create space for two occupiers.

Construction will start in early 2018 and completion is scheduled for late autumn 2018. This announcement leaves just one additional 105,870 square foot unit available at Prologis Park West London.
As part of its commitment to developing state-of-the-art logistics buildings in key locations, Prologis will build the unit to achieve a minimum BREEAM ‘Very Good’ accreditation and the best possible EPC rating for its size. The building will also feature a rooftop solar installation that will enable the customer to generate renewable energy and reduce overall energy costs.
“All our buildings are designed with the future in mind,” said Paul Weston, head of London & South East Markets for Prologis UK. “An increasing number of our customers are seeking out sustainable, energy-efficient logistics buildings as a way of reducing costs and demonstrating their own ‘green’ credentials.”

Prologis Park West London benefits from its close proximity to London Heathrow Airport and easy access to the M4, M25 and M40 motorways. It is also located on the main fibre routes from London to Slough.

Within the first phase of Prologis Park West London, Prologis speculatively developed two buildings totalling 198,110 square feet, which have been let to Virtus Data Centres. Prologis also created new green spaces across the site, including a canal-side walk, for people who live and work locally.
Later this year, Prologis will complete landscaping work on an additional 40 acres of land close to the site. When transformed, this will be given to the London Borough of Hillingdon.
Both the construction and landscaping contracts include programmes of training and employment for local residents, including apprenticeships.
“Just as customers require more flexibility in the way their goods are delivered, companies supplying the goods require high-quality, flexible buildings to fulfil this demand,” Weston concludes. “For this reason, our new building in West London can accommodate a broad range of space requirements from 64,255 square foot right through to 152,300 square foot.
