Prologis welcomes Internet Fusion to Prologis Park Kettering

Press Release

All our buildings are designed with the future in mind

Andrew Griffiths, Prologis UK

Prologis, the global leader in logistics real estate, today announced it has leased a 156,936 square foot logistics building, at Prologis Park Kettering, to UK-based e-commerce retailer Internet Fusion Ltd.

The building, DC6, was built speculatively as part of Prologis’ commitment to bring quality logistics and industrial properties in prime locations to the UK market. Internet Fusion is the latest customer to sign-up at Prologis Park Kettering, leaving only one plot available; this plot has received detailed planning consent for a 369,292 square foot facility.

Founded in 2006, Internet Fusion is a global e-commerce retailer that operates a number of specialist websites through their fully integrated technology platform. Moving to Prologis Park Kettering will help the company increase its share of international markets by providing it with a building which can accommodate both current activity and future growth plans.

Prologis is committed to developing state-of-the-art logistics buildings and DC6 has a number of sustainability credentials, including a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ accreditation and an EPC A rating. These features played a key part in the decision making process, as Martin Brailsford of Internet Fusion explains:

“Internet Fusion is at the forefront of driving online retail that limits the environmental impact in the world we live, work and play in. Through a number of our website such as Surdome.com and Blackleaf.com we already heavily promote and support a wide range of environmental initiatives. Our decision to relocate from our existing warehousing facility not only provided us with the space for further growth but also significantly enhanced our green credentials. We are looking forward to working with Prologis to make the building even more sustainable in due course to offset our energy costs even further.”

“All our buildings are designed with the future in mind,” said Andrew Griffiths, managing director, Prologis UK. “For Internet Fusion, the sustainability features of the building were an important factor in meeting the expectations of their customers and demonstrating their commitment to sustainability across all areas of their business.”

Prologis owns and manages approximately 24 million square feet of logistics and industrial space in the UK as of September 30, 2017.
