Prologis welcomed its first occupier, Yusen Logistics, to Prologis Park Wellingborough West with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Yusen Logistics, which has an existing logistics building in Wellingborough, will use the new 379,000 square foot facility, which was built to suit by Prologis UK, to expand its UK distribution service.

“We’re delighted with our new building,” said Kevin Appleton, Managing Director of Yusen Logistics UK. “We have a long-standing relationship with Prologis and have operated from Wellingborough for many years,” he continued. “The combination of Wellingborough’s strategic location and Prologis’s delivery capability made a new purpose-built facility at Prologis Park Wellingborough West the ideal choice for our new operation.

Located beside the Park Farm Industrial Estate, Prologis Park Wellingborough West is next to the A509 and close to the A45, A14 and the M1. The site is within an easy drive time of the key markets and conurbations including Birmingham and London, as well as the East Coast ports.

Prologis owns and manages approximately 25 million square feet of logistics and industrial space in the UK as of December 31st, 2017.
