Prologis has signed lease agreements totalling 542,996 sq ft at two distribution parks close to the M1 motorway. BMW Group (UK) Ltd has taken a new 457,546 sq ft purpose-built warehouse at Prologis Park Pineham, while haircare specialist TiGi will occupy an existing 85,450 sq ft unit at Prologis Park Marston Gate.
Both distribution parks offer easy access to the M1 and an available skilled workforce, while at Prologis Park Pineham the new BMW Group facility will be designed and constructed to be embodied carbon neutral as well as to achieve BREEAM ‘Excellent’ accreditation and an EPC A rating. A planning application will be submitted to West Northamptonshire Development Corporation shortly.
Following completion of the new BMW facility, which is scheduled for January 2012, the building will become BMW Group’s regional distribution centre, delivering parts to BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and BMW motorcycle dealers throughout the UK and Ireland.
